Quit Waiting

Admit it. You are waiting for the weekend. For summer. For the next vacation. For anything other than this. You think that when you get to whatever you are waiting for THEN things will be good. Your happiness is conditional and THAT"S the problem. What if the weekend doesn't come? What if there isn't time to wait? Does that change things? We aren't promised tomorrow, so why do we live like we are? I could go on and on about how we are too selective in enjoying our moments, but that would be a waste of time when all I really have to say is quit waiting.

Quit saying tomorrow you can be happy. Quit thinking of today as just another day to "get through". We all do it. We get in routines and turn into machines only living for tomorrow. Smile today. Laugh today. Cry today. Do something new today. Be afraid today. Be confident today. Be crazy today. Be happy, today.

What does worry do? Solve your problems? Nope. Stress also does nothing. Don't wait for tomorrow to live the life you have always dreamed of because you might not get the chance to. The only way to ensure that you live a life you can be proud of is by taking it day by day. Don't be rude. Don't hurt their feelings. Don't be too tired. Don't be judgmental. We might not have the chance to repair the damages. Be somebody who's laugh is contagious. They won't remember your failures, or you short comings, but they will remember your spirit.

You can't start tomorrow. Today. Do it, today. Speak up for what you believe in, sit down when you are humbled, laugh when you can't even control it, smile when they say frown, choose to be the person you want to be. There is no such thing as a wasted breath when it is coming from a mind so beautifully built.

I'm serious. Quit waiting to live in the moment. WAKE UP CALL: the moment is passing. You think it hasn't started yet, but these are the times when people get to know who we are and why we do what we do. The moment is now. Bask in it and make a choice to live in it 100%, or keep waiting. Choice is yours, but it would be a damn shame if you woke up one day only to realize that there are no more "one more" times. At some point we went outside with our friends to play and that was the last time. We lived in the moment and because of that there are no regrets. Quit waiting.
